BIANCA SULKOWICZ (Classical Ballet & Tap Examinations,  Tiny Tots,  Acrobatics)

Bianca SulkowiczFrom the age of three, Bianca has been engaged in all genres of the Performing Arts including, Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Contemporary, Musical Theatre, Singing, Drama, Broadway, Acrobats and Lyrical. Her performances in dance and acting have seen her travel not only within Australia, but also to Japan and America. Competing at the American Dance Championships in Las Vegas, Bianca gained 1st Place at the World Dance Championships in Orlanda, Florida. She has since enjoyed working alongside Dean Perry and Kylie Minogue at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. She has taught in several Sydney based dance studios and as a qualified Dance & Drama high school teacher has been responsible for many successful school productions. 

In January 2016, Bianca was listed as an official Module One Certified teacher in Acrobatic Arts professional curriculum for acrobatic dance; implimented across Canada, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Italy, UK, USA, Netherlands and Guatemala. Over many years, Bianca has kept a close association with Showcase The Australian Dance Championships, which has seen her in the role as choreographer for Australian Dance Idol auditions and assisting at the Australian Dance Championships on the Gold Coast. Bianca’s acting success has seen her appear in the Mini Series Brides of Christ, many TV commercials, and several guest roles in TV series such as Water Rats, Police Rescue, A Country Practice and Home & Away. With the completion of her Full-Time Performing Arts Course at Brent Street, a Bachelor of Arts in Dance and Education at the University of NSW and University of California in Santa Barbara, Bianca is delighted to share with you the wonderful talents of the Stepaside students.

HAYLEY DORAN (JFH, Hip Hop, Tap, Cheerleading)

Hayley DoranHayley began her training at age of 11 studying Jazz, Tap and Lyrical on the NSW Central Coast. A few years later, Hayley furthered her education by taking classes in Musical Theatre, Contemporary and Hip Hop by travelling to Sydney to participate in workshops run by Brent Street Studios, Sydney Dance Company and Source Dance tours. In 2010, Hayley was accepted into the full-time program at IKIN Dance and whilst working with the industry’s best, Hayley added Acrobatics, Singing, Acting, Break Dancing and Ballet to her studies. Hayley has performed in the Youth Olympic Opening Ceremony, the NSW School Spectacular, the Katherine (NT) Family Awareness Day and Sunshine Coast’s Father’s Day Festival. She has performed at Australia Zoo, Sea World, Movie World and most recently has been involved in ABC’s ‘The Giggle and Hoot TV Show’ performing as Charlie Bear. Hayley has toured around NSW and NT in the children’s Smurf Show starring as Smurfette and in her spare time cheerleads for the Sydney Roosters. Hayley’s television credits include performances in Marvin Priest’s ‘Own This Club’ video clip, Kindred’s debut film clip, Sky Racings latest TVC, and in 2010 worked with Project Moda on X Factor.  Hayley is extremely excited to be working here at Stepaside inspiring others and encouraging her students to believe in their dreams. Hayley has been with Stepaside Studios since 2012.

REBECCA CAVENAGH (Jazz, Showteam, Tiny Tots, Classical Ballet, Administration)

Becky CavenaghSince starting to dance in 1999 at the age of 3, Rebecca has been trained in Jazz, Contemporary and Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Ballet, as well as experience in Musical Theatre, Hip-Hop and Break Dancing. Rebecca has taken part in numerous Sydney Dance Competitions.

Since starting to dance in 1999 at the age of 3, Rebecca has been trained in Jazz, Contemporary and Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Ballet, as well as experience in Musical Theatre, Hip-Hop and Break Dancing. Rebecca has taken part in numerous Sydney Dance Company workshops where she has worked with many of the industries finest dancers and choreographers. Since the young age of 6, Rebecca has been involved in Eisteddfod Competitions all over Sydney and beyond as well as performing in many local community festivals. Starting voice lessons at 11, Rebecca has been involved in Musicals and Concert productions,which ultimately led Rebecca to her love of choreography. Rebecca is also involved in the film industry appearing in small roles in TV ads and short films since 2014. Rebecca holds a University Degree in Early Childhood and Primary Teaching and joined the Stepaside team in 2013. She is extremely excited to share her passion for dance with her students, to help them grow into wonderful and enthusiastic dancers.

SALLY DANGAR (Classical Ballet, Tap, Musical Theatre, Jazz, Tiny Tots, Administration)

Sally DangarSally is a Graduate of ED5INTERNATIONAL with a Diploma in Performing Arts. Since 1999, Sally has had extensive training in various genres of dance including Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Musical Theatre, Contemporary and Acrobatics as well as Singing and Acting. Over this time, Sally has completed Ballet, Tap and Jazz examinations with the British Ballet Organisation (BBO) and Australian Teachers of Dancing (ATOD). Sally has been fortunate enough to have some incredible performance and choreographic opportunities which include the Australian Dance Spectacular – Disney Performing Arts, Universal Studios LA, P&O Pacific Jewel Guest Performance, Youth Dance Festival and the Australian Dance Festival. In 2007, Sally began teaching and has since taught and choreographed for Tiny Tots, Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Contemporary, Acrobatics and Hip Hop. Sally has been an award winning choreographer, with her students competing across NSW and at National Competitions and Eisteddfods. Sally loves being part of the Teaching and Administration team at Stepaside Studios!


AIDAN TUAIMAU-GADSDON (Hip Hop, Contemporary)                                                

AAidanidan is a diverse dancer with training in Hip Hop, Jazz, Contemporary, Ballet, Musical Theatre and Tap. Graduating with his Diploma in Performing Arts from ED5INTERNATIONAL in 2014, Aidan has been working professionally ever since. He most recently toured NSW and Adelaide in the Katy Perry Tribute Show as a dancer. He was a dancer for Kieron Kulik for the 2014 Sony Entertainment Upcoming movie premiere and worked with Sally Hare for the 2014 Kiss Goodbye to MS campaign on Channel 7. He has worked as a singer/dancer across Sydney featuring in the Arnotts Gaga Ball, the NRMA Insurance Awards and he has recently been touring with the Michael Jackson Legacy Tour. Aidan is a signed artist with Dargie Entertainment and has been a teacher for six years. He looks forward to being part of the Stepaside Team.


JESSICA MATEUS (Vocal Coaching, Musical Theatre, Acrobatics, Tiny Tots)                                      



Since 1995, at the age of 4, Jessica attended Brent Street Studios and has trained in various genres of dance including Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Musical Theatre, Contemporary and Acrobatics. Jessica has been teaching and choreographing since 2011 including Singing, Acrobatics, Musical Theatre, Hip Hop, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary and Ballet. Jessica has completed Ballet examinations with the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD).  In 2009, she was selected to be a part of the dance program at Westfields Sports High School where she studied dance as part of the Higher School Certifciate (HSC).  The following year, Jessica completed her Certificate IV in Performing Arts at Brent Street Studios and was given the opportunity to work professionally amongst many upcoming Australian artists. She has been featured in various shows including the X-Factor, The Arias, Sydney’s Hair Expo, an Olivia-Newton John Fundraiser, and many other events. Jessica’s television credits include performances in Thirsty Merc’s  ‘Tommy and Krista’ video clip and a dancer in the most recent film ‘The Great Gatsby’, directed by Baz Luhrmann. In her last years of study, Jessica was also selected to perform alongside Kerri-Anne Kennerley on the morning television show ‘Kerri-Anne’ shown on the Nine Network.

MELISSA FLYNN (Classical Ballet, Tiny Tots)

Melissa started out as a dancer at age 4 in Classical Ballet being trained in R.A.D syllabus before progressing to learn Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical and Musical Theatre. She has competed in various state-wide competitions in Ballet, Contemporary and Jazz. Through many years of training Melissa achieved Advanced Level in R.A.D Ballet. Now teaching, she creates a fun and enjoyable environment for all students, brand new to experienced dancers.




Josh WadleyAll the way from Christchurch New Zealand, Stepaside Studios warmly welcome the very talented Mr Josh Wadley to our team! Josh will be an in-residence choreographer throughout 2016. Josh has been tap dancing since the young age of 4 and has recently moved to Sydney to begin full time training – studying a Certificate IV in Performing Arts at the “Village On Broadway”. Josh has a wealth of experience, competing around the world and placing 2nd overall highest scoring act in the Senior Category at the 2014 Starpower National Finals, Las Vegas, 2nd at the 2014 New Zealand Tap Nationals held in Palmerston North and placed Top 5 in the Senior Dancer of the Year Category at the 2015 Showcase National Finals held on the Gold Coast.                                                                      

KATE RIDGE (Contemporary & Lyrical)                                                                                                                  Kate Ridge

Kate Ridge has recently relocated to Sydney from the United States and is thrilled to be teaching at Stepaside Studios. She has earned her Masters in Global and Cultural Education, has a Physical Education Teaching Credential with Dance supplement, and Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from California State University, Long Beach. Kate has been a head instructor and judge for the Universal Dance Association for 8 years and has judged the National Dance Team Championships in Orlando, FL as well as various competitions in Las Vegas, New Mexico, Hollywood, and San Diego. She has performed professionally for the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim California, Lego Land California, Knotts Berry Farm in Orange County and toured throughout the United States with Dance America and Dance Olympus Conventions. Most recently, she was a top 10 contestant for the TV realty show pilot of The Business of Dance filmed in Hollywood, California. Kate has also taught and choreographed throughout the United States for event entertainment, college dance programs and high school dance teams and has spent the last 14 years teaching in San Diego, California. Kate is so excited to be back in her homeland of Australia!

ARTEM TKACHUK (Classical Ballet)                                                                                                                                                                                               Artem Tkachuk was born in Ukraine and trained at the Odessa Classical Ballet School. He began his professional dance career at the age of 17 at The Virsky National Dance Company of Ukraine where he performed on many international stages in USA, Mexico, Canada and of course Kiev – Ukraine. From there his passion for travel developed where he decided to take his dance career in a different direction and tackle the cabaret scene. He found himself performing in casinos in Spain and Portugal; and for an array of cruise ship companies including Cunard Lines (Queen Mary II), MSC Cruseros, NCL and so on. In between contracts, Artem was a freelance ballet teacher in Kiev, Ukraine. He recently moved to Sydney, Australia where he continues to instil his knowledge and passion for ballet in dance schools as well as performing in the Sydney cabaret scene.
